Job description
As part of the introduction of eIDAS 2.0, ING Bank is seeking a temporary, outcome-driven Product Owner to join the Frontend Foundation Mobile team. This role focuses on driving mobile eIDAS 2.0 capabilities that enable scalable, consistent, and future-proof experiences across ING’s global applications. You will work closely with the Product Manager, engineering teams, and stakeholders to shape the roadmap, translate priorities into deliverables, and optimise capabilities that create value for both engineers and end users., * Translate business needs into clear, executable user journeys, requirements, and product features
- Design and optimise end-to-end customer journeys
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver scalable and automated solutions
- Ensure solutions are compliant, controlled, and operationally efficient
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve straight-through processing
- Promote ‘first time right’ delivery through clarity, ownership, and strong documentation
- Own the product backlog by creating epics, user stories, and features with clear business value
- Keep stakeholders informed on the Product Roadmap and feature delivery progress via demos, newsletters, and updates
- Lead eIDAS-related activities within the mobile platform domain and drive delivery across multiple teams
- Promote a clear product vision focused on the customer whilst maintaining standardised solutions
Work environment
You will be part of ING Bank’s Frontend Foundation Mobile team, working in an international, complex, technology-based agile environment. The role is based at HBP (Haarlerbergpark) in Amsterdam. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, and various stakeholders across the organisation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Owner roles
- Proven experience with mobile applications
- Strong knowledge of authentication, means, and consent flows
- Experience working in international, complex, technology-based agile environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ownership mindset with strong drive for continuous improvement
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into product features and customer journeys
- Focus on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with complex system landscapes and integrations
- Excellent command of English; Dutch language skills are an advantage but not required
Benefits & conditions
- Competitive salary based on ITSync pay scale 11 (€ 5.485,70-€ 7.023,83), excluding holiday payments, 13th month, pension, etc
- Temporary contract from 16 August 2026 to 31 December 2026, with option to extend
