QA Automation Engineer

This is underpinned by a rigorous and uncompromising approach to Quality Assurance, ensuring every release is thoroughly tested before reaching customers., To support continued growth, we are recruiting a QA Engineer to join a close-knit Quality Assurance team of around five people. This is a brand-new position, created to strengthen the QA function as the wider engineering team continues to expand.

You’ll work closely with a team of approximately 10 Software Engineers within a modern QA environment that combines both manual and automated testing.

The primary focus of this role will be to further enhance the company’s automation testing capability, making a strong background in test automation essential. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites using Cypress and TypeScript, while also being comfortable carrying out manual testing where required. You’ll be passionate about software quality, enjoy collaborating closely with developers, and take pride in delivering reliable, thoroughly tested software.

• 3+ years’ commercial experience within Software Testing / Quality Assurance
• Experience testing SaaS products or enterprise software (Financial Services experience would be advantageous)
• Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript
• Strong manual testing experience, including Regression, Exploratory, User Acceptance (UAT) and End-to-End (E2E) testing
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within modern development environments
• A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to take ownership of testing initiatives
• ISTQB certification (desirable)
