Platform Architect

We are hiring an experienced Platform and Solutions Architect to join our Platform and Solution Architecture team.

In this role, you will shape the design of business-critical platforms, ensuring technology decisions align with company strategy, delivery priorities and operational needs. Working closely with engineering, security and operational teams, you will provide architectural direction across application, integration, data, infrastructure and cloud technologies.

You will guide critical decisions on solution design, platform direction, integration patterns, security posture and technology selection, making informed decisions independently within agreed guardrails.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence over our technology direction. You help define target-state design, improve decision-making across teams and strengthen capability in areas including security, networking and end-user systems. Your decisions will balance business value, delivery speed, resilience, risk and long-term maintainability., * Defining and evolving platform and solution architecture in line with business priorities and delivery needs

• Establishing architecture principles, standards and governance that promote consistency, security and interoperability while enabling efficient delivery
• Leading end-to-end solution design across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure and cloud technologies
• Strengthening architecture capability across security, networking, enterprise platforms and end-user technologies
• Partnering with engineering and business stakeholders to translate business goals into practical technical direction

• Significant experience in platform, solution or enterprise architecture roles
• Proven ability to design complex end-to-end solutions spanning applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, cloud and operational considerations
• Strong judgement with ability to balance trade-offs and make effective decisions independently
• Good understanding of security, networking and resilient system design across cloud, hybrid and enterprise environments
• Broad experience across corporate, enterprise and end-user technologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural decisions clearly to technical teams and senior leadership

Desirable:

• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment
• Hands-on experience with on-premise infrastructure, cloud platforms, hybrid environments, modern infrastructure patterns and platform engineering practices
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, infrastructure automation, observability or related platform capabilities
• Experience in security, network, identity or enterprise platform domains
• Experience defining architecture roadmaps, principles and target-state designs
• Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience, such as AWS Solutions Architect or security-focused certification
