Job description

We’re working with an established technology business that is looking for an experienced Contract Software Developer to support the delivery of a range of innovative CAD/CAM software products. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team working on modern, cloud-based applications used by customers across multiple industries.

You’ll contribute to the development of scalable software solutions, working alongside experienced developers to deliver new features, enhance existing functionality and solve complex technical challenges.

The Role

As a Contract Software Developer, you’ll work across a variety of projects and development teams, adapting to changing priorities and contributing wherever your expertise is needed. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining modern software applications, collaborating closely with engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

This position is well suited to someone who enjoys tackling complex technical problems, can quickly familiarise themselves with existing codebases, and thrives in a collaborative Agile environment., * Development of 3D graphics or CAD applications

  • WPF
  • Angular (v18+) or another modern frontend framework
  • DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
  • RabbitMQ or MassTransit
  • Microservices architecture, Event-driven architecture
  • Cloud-native application development
  • CQRS and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Agile development methodologies
  • CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core 8+
  • Experience working with AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency using Git
  • Strong mathematical, algorithmic and geometric problem-solving skills
  • Proven commercial software development experience (3+ years of experience)
  • Experience contributing across multiple teams, products or codebases
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience, If you’re an experienced .NET Contractor with mathematical background and a passion for solving complex engineering and geometry-based problems, we’d love to hear from you.
