Job description

Support the administration and operation of cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
Maintain Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Assist with the deployment, configuration, and support of Azure cloud services.
Support virtualisation platforms and enterprise hosting environments.
Assist in the administration of Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
Support incident, problem, and service request management activities.
Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
Implement and support infrastructure changes in accordance with organisational standards.
Contribute to automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Work with senior engineers to resolve technical issues and improve service reliability.

Requirements

Experience in IT support, IT infrastructure, and administration.
Knowledge of VMware and other virtualisation technologies.
Understanding of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms.
Proficiency in maintaining Windows Server and Linux environments.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
Basic knowledge of security principles and access management.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative technical team., * Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
CompTIA Network+ or Server+.
Linux Essentials or equivalent certification.
Exposure to Kubernetes, OpenShift, or container technologies such as Docker.
ITIL Foundation certification.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Experience working in hybrid cloud environments.
Exposure to automation and DevOps practices.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Azure Monitor.
