Job description
The IT Help Desk Level 1 (entry) supports day-to-day information technology operations within a manufacturing environment. This role assists with help desk requests, technical support, hardware and software maintenance, cybersecurity practices, and system documentation while gaining hands-on experience supporting both office and shop-floor technologies., * Provide technical support to end users by troubleshooting computers, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and shop-floor terminals
- Assist with setup and maintenance of desktops, laptops, industrial PCs, and production-area equipment
- Support manufacturing and engineering software systems (CAD, CMMS, ERP, PLC interfaces, quality systems) and document recurring issues
- Maintain and update IT asset inventory, including tracking, tagging, auditing, and lifecycle documentation
- Support network infrastructure by assisting with cabling, port labeling, and installing network equipment under supervision
- Deploy software, operating systems, and updates; assist with imaging machines for new or replacement users
- Assist with cybersecurity practices such as MFA enrollment, password resets, endpoint protection, and phishing awareness
- Help document IT processes by updating SOPs, troubleshooting guides, diagrams, and knowledge-base articles
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, including upgrades, automation efforts, testing, and data collection
- Assist with data reporting and analytics by gathering metrics and preparing reports using tools like Excel
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements

- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Math, reading, writing, and communication skills

- Advanced computer skills
- Willingness to learn and advance beyond current position
Physical Demands/ Working Environment
- Exposure to loud noise (hearing protection required)
