Job description

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Mitigation Technician to join our growing restoration team. This position is responsible for responding to emergency property damage caused by water, fire, mold, storms, and other disasters. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, enjoys helping people during difficult situations, and is eager to grow into a leadership role., As a Mitigation Technician, you will:

  • Respond to emergency property damage losses.
  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, and moisture monitoring.
  • Perform mold, water and fire remediation, demolition, and cleaning services.
  • Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment.
  • Document job progress with photos, notes, moisture readings, and job documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, tenants, property managers, insurance professionals, and team members.
  • Follow project instructions provided by the Lead Mitigation Technician or Project Manager.
  • Work efficiently alongside other technicians to complete projects safely and on schedule.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, cleaning, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in the company’s rotating on-call emergency schedule.
  • Assist in supervising projects when assigned and continue developing leadership skills.

Requirements

Required

  • Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas.
  • Comfortable working around cleaning agents and restoration chemicals while following all required safety procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.
  • Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred

  • Previous restoration, construction, demolition, or general labor experience.
  • IICRC certifications.
  • Experience operating restoration equipment.
  • Leadership experience or a desire to advance within the company.
