Job description
Our client is looking for an Informatica MDM Informatica Architect/ Engineer to join their team. This person will be leading the migration efforts from legacy MDM platform (TIBCO EBX) into Informatica MDM, including data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation activities. Additional responsibilities are below:
- Lead the design, development, configuration, and implementation of Informatica MDM solutions within Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
- Design and configure MDM components including data models, match and merge rules, survivorship rules, hierarchy management, reference data management, workflows, and business rules.
- Build and support Master Data Management solutions across multiple domains including Product, Item, Site, Supplier, Customer, and other enterprise master data entities.
- Design and implement cross-domain master data relationships, ensuring data domains are connected and governed within a unified MDM platform rather than managed as independent silos.
- Evaluate business requirements and determine when to leverage Informatica out-of-the-box capabilities versus custom development solutions.
- Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, batch processing, and cloud integration technologies.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable master data solutions.
- Collaborate with teams utilizing enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and related technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex data quality, matching, hierarchy, governance, and integration challenges across multiple data domains.
- Participate in architecture discussions while remaining heavily involved in hands-on development and solution implementation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, data models, and implementation artifacts using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and related tools.
- Support enterprise data governance initiatives by ensuring data quality, data stewardship, governance standards, and compliance requirements are incorporated into all MDM solutions.
- Work closely with both technical and business teams to identify opportunities for improving master data quality, consistency, and usability across the organization.
Requirements
- Must be onsite 5 days a week
- 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management
- 5+ years in MDM Engineering and/or Architecture roles
- Multi-domain MDM implementation experience (Customer, Product, Supplier, Site)
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) experience
- Strong SQL skills with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, and DB2
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and batch integrations
- Experience with data modeling, data governance frameworks, and MDM lifecycle management
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Boomi, CDI/APIs, or similar integration platforms
- Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architectures
- Experience with data catalog, lineage, and reference data management tools
- Informatica MDM / IDMC certifications
