Job description

The SVP, Finance Transformation provides strategic leadership for Finance Systems and Transformation, driving the modernization of the finance technology ecosystem, operating model, and data capabilities in support of enterprise objectives. The position is accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive transformation strategy that aligns finance processes, technology, governance, and talent to improve scalability, automation, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. This position serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, leading large-scale transformation initiatives and fostering cross-functional alignment across Finance, Technology, Data & Analytics, Operations, Risk, and other enterprise stakeholders

What You’ll Do :

  • Develop and execute the Finance Systems and Transformation strategy aligned to enterprise objectives.
  • Lead modernization of the Finance technology ecosystem, including ERP, financial reporting, planning, treasury, asset-liability management, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Establish long-term technology roadmaps that improve scalability, reliability, automation, and user experience.
  • Partner with Technology and Architecture teams to define future-state finance architecture.
  • Provide executive oversight of all finance systems, integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Simplify and rationalize the finance technology landscape to reduce complexity and operational risk.
  • Establish standards for integration architecture, data flows, and system interoperability.
  • Drive adoption of automation, workflow tools, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies where appropriate.
  • Design and implement a future-state Finance operating model that aligns people, processes, technology, and governance.
  • Lead process redesign initiatives across controllership, accounting operations, treasury, tax, planning and analysis, and reporting functions.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, centralization, and automation.
  • Ensure operational excellence through continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
  • Establish enterprise-grade governance frameworks for finance data.
  • Partner with Data and Analytics teams to improve data quality, ownership, lineage, reporting consistency, and accessibility.
  • Develop a Finance data strategy that supports regulatory requirements and business decision-making.
  • Champion data-driven decision making across the Finance organization.
  • Establish governance frameworks for finance technology, system changes, testing, release management, and operational controls.
  • Strengthen processes related to model governance, system implementations, controls testing, and financial reporting integrity.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance functions to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure effective controls are embedded throughout finance processes and platforms.
  • Lead a portfolio of enterprise finance transformation initiatives.
  • Establish program governance, prioritization frameworks, funding models, and success metrics.
  • Monitor transformation performance, benefits realization, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership and Board committees as appropriate.
  • Build and develop a high-performing Finance Systems and Transformation organization.
  • Establish capabilities in finance technology, data management, process improvement, change management, and transformation execution.
  • Create talent strategies that support future-state organizational needs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team.
  • Partner closely with Information Technology, Data & Analytics, Product, Operations, and Risk organizations.
  • Influence enterprise decisions affecting finance systems, governance, and operating model design.
  • Drive alignment across business functions to ensure successful execution of transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • 12+ years’ experience in Finance Systems, Digital Finance, and Business Transformation, leading enterprise modernization efforts across finance technology, data, and operating models while aligning capabilities with organizational strategy and long-term business goals
  • 10+ years’ experience as a people leader, leading a diverse team including hiring, coaching and performance management
  • Proven experience leading large-scale finance transformation programs, including ERP modernization, operating model redesign, and enterprise technology implementations.
  • Deep knowledge of finance functions including accounting, controllership, treasury, FP&A, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and internal controls.
  • Expertise in finance technology platforms, systems integration, enterprise architecture, data governance, and finance data management practices.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging automation, workflow solutions, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, audit requirements, change management, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and program leadership skills, with experience managing complex transformation portfolios, budgets, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence executive leadership, Board-level stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, decision-making, and successful transformation outcomes.
  • Outstanding people leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.
