Job description
We are seeking an experienced IAM AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-generation identity solutions for AI-driven environments. This role focuses on “agentic identities”-establishing secure, scalable, and traceable identity frameworks for autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents operating within enterprise ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring deep IAM expertise and apply it to emerging AI workflows, bridging traditional identity practices with modern agent-based architectures., Agentic Identity Architecture
- Design and implement architectures that create and manage unique machine identities for individual AI agents.
- Ensure each AI agent is distinctly identifiable, separate from human users and other agents.
- Enable strong attribution and traceability to determine which agent performed specific actions, even in multi-agent interactions.
Integration of IAM into AI Workflows
- Integrate enterprise IAM solutions into AI and agent-based systems rather than treating IAM as a standalone function.
- Extend traditional IAM principles into AI ecosystems, ensuring consistency in identity governance and access control.
- Identify gaps in current IAM capabilities and design innovative solutions tailored to AI-driven environments.
Identity Ownership, Tracking, and Monitoring
- Develop identity models that clearly associate AI agents with their human owners, ensuring accountability.
- Enable comprehensive observability, including tracking:
- Existing agents
- Ownership relationships
- Agent interactions
- Actions performed by agents
- Address enterprise challenges related to scalable assignment, tracking, and governance of agent identities.
IAM Technical Leadership (Cloud-Focused)
- Lead architecture and design efforts for IAM solutions in cloud environments, with a primary focus on Azure and additional exposure to AWS.
- Apply deep expertise across enterprise IAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint, and other cloud-based IAM tools.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for AI-focused IAM initiatives within the organization., This is a foundational role within a growing team, responsible for establishing enterprise-wide capabilities in AI agent identity management. The position fills a critical gap and will shape how identity is defined, governed, and secured in next-generation AI systems.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management.
- Proven experience designing IAM architectures in cloud environments (Azure required; AWS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IAM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint).
- Experience or strong interest in AI/ML systems, agent-based architectures, or emerging AI ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to design innovative solutions beyond out-of-the-box IAM configurations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills., * IAM solutions into AI and agent-based systems: 2 years (Required)
- Identity & access management: 10 years (Required)
Benefits & conditions
$90 - $95 an hour - Contract
