Job description
Butler Community College is seeking an Enterprise Applications Specialist to join our team!
The Enterprise Applications Services team is responsible for supporting the College’s enterprise technology ecosystem, ensuring the reliability, security, and effective use of critical business applications that support student success and institutional operations. The team partners with functional departments across the College to deliver technology solutions, optimize business processes, and provide reporting and data support for key administrative systems.
The Enterprise Systems Specialist performs application administration, system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, reporting, data analysis, and data management to ensure the integrity, security, and reliable operation of enterprise systems. This position develops and maintains reports, supports system integrations and automated business processes, researches and resolves complex application issues, and collaborates with functional users and technical staff to implement enhancements that improve operational efficiency and support the College’s mission.
Requirements
The applicant may be requested to authorize the College to procure a consumer report(s) for employment purposes., Required knowledge and skills A. Excellent knowledge of the web and applications of an enterprise nature. B. Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database structures. C. Knowledge of Windows Client & Server, Sun Solaris, XML, and TCP/IP networking concepts. D. High standard of professionalism, demonstrated through attitude and self presentation. E. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. F. Customer oriented, able to elicit requirements to a problem and produce a product that meets expectations. G. Ability to work with MS Office Suite to produce documentation and other deliverables. H. Knowledge of project management concepts and tools. I. Self directed, able to complete multiple tasks within specified timelines with little supervision and produce results with little to no rework. J. Ability to perform analytical studies based on variable quality attributes to develop well-defined solutions that integrate with the institution’s existing infrastructure. K. Ability to adapt in an ever changing environment. L. Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and communicate the divisional mission through daily interactions with customers and co-workers. M. Ability to lead or work as part of a team to achieve a common goal. N. Ability to comprehend and follow documented procedures to complete a task. O. Ability to assist in the configuration, testing, and rollout of large scale software implementations. P. Ability to learn new concepts and methodologies. Required experience A. Experience with higher education or equivalent information systems (Ellucian Banner Preferred). B. Minimum of two years experience utilizing relational databases and structured query languages. C. Minimum of two years experience using business intelligence reporting tools. Required educational background Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Information Technology or Business).
