Job description

We are seeking a Senior CorVision Developer to support and maintain legacy applications running on OpenVMS and CorVision. This role requires strong experience with legacy systems, production support, database management, and system reliability while assisting with the organization’s modernization efforts., * Serve as the primary support engineer for OpenVMS and CorVision applications.

Develop and maintain DCL scripts and support legacy business applications.
Manage and support RDB (OpenVMS), Oracle SQL, and legacy database integrations.
Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent fixes.
Coordinate incident management and ensure issues are resolved within SLA timelines.
Plan and support application releases, upgrades, backups, and rollback activities.
Maintain application monitoring, performance tuning, and high system availability.
Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures.
Support modernization initiatives, including data migration and process mapping as applications transition to newer platforms.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure stable production support.
Handle critical production incidents, customer escalations, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Mentor junior team members and provide knowledge transfer when needed.

Requirements

8+ years of experience with CorVision
3+ years of experience supporting OpenVMS
4+ years of experience in Database & Application Support, * 7+ years of experience supporting OpenVMS environments.
Strong hands-on experience with CorVision, DCL scripting, and legacy business applications.
Experience with RDB (OpenVMS) and Oracle SQL.
Experience managing production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and application maintenance.
Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery environments.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience supporting enterprise applications with minimal downtime.
Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams during modernization projects.

Preferred Skills

Experience with application monitoring and performance tuning.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience supporting enterprise production environments and distributed teams.
Ability to create technical documentation, service catalogs, reports, and knowledge base articles.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring support teams and managing critical production escalations.
