Job description

Technica Corporation is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who will support the development of the FBI FDP system using a Postgres/Java/React technology stack. These engineers will work with an existing development team to deliver features and capabilities required for MVP release. The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications from concept through deployment., * Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain front-end and back-end application components.

  • Integrate components, create new custom capabilities, and make modifications to existing codebases.
  • Participate in planning, requirements analysis, development, testing, and quality assurance across the full SDLC.
  • Conduct code reviews, participate in architecture sessions, and provide input on development best practices.
  • Support automation and optimization of operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner, BA, and Test Engineer to ensure features meet functional and acceptance criteria.
  • Plan and execute application deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with 508 accessibility, enterprise security practices, and other practices as needed.

The position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services. The annual base salary range for this position is $131,000 - $145,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret with SCI and CI Poly eligibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field or the equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 8+ years in full-stack software engineer experience.
  • Strong experience in Java, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and relational database development (Postgres preferred)
  • Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD, GitLab, containerization, and modern agile delivery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional agile team.
