Requirements

The Information Technology Specialist I will be responsible for Help Desk functions for computers, email, Internet access, applications, printers, copiers, scanning services, phones, audio/visual equipment, and other computer related hardware and software. Job will require troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. Employee is responsible to maintain computers and peripheral equipment connected to Eddy County’s diverse network. Employee must keep confidential all secured and sensitive information revealed. Employee must be trustworthy, self-motivated, have a keen attention to detail, and have good customer service skills. Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; two years of experience with computer systems troubleshooting; four years of experience with Windows platforms; must possess a valid NM driver’s license and be insurable, with no DWI convictions and no more than two moving violations in the past three years; no illegal drug use within the past three years; the ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, respond to call back requests, attend job related meetings and training. Employee will be required to perform all other duties as assigned.
