Job description
Kearney & Company is currently seeking a Learning Management System Administrator to join our team. The Learning Management System Administrator will help develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clientsâ satisfaction. Skills and responsibilities are defined below:
- Learning Technology Operations & Administrations- oversee daily management of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, catalog management, enrollments, reporting, and user support.
- Maintain SOPs, job aids, and user guides to ensure operational consistency.
- Technical Support & Vendor Coordination- provide first-level technical support for LMS and learning tools.
- Document issues, manage support tickets, coordinate with internal IT and external vendors, monitor SLA performance, and communicate status updates to leadership.
- Digital Content & Systems Integration- manage upload, configuration, and testing of SCORM/xAPI content and thirdparty courseware.
- Oversee technical integrations between the LMS and enterprise systems such as HRIS and SSO to ensure seamless data flow.
- Technology Governance & Cybersecurity Compliance- ensure all learning technologies adhere to cybersecurity policies, data privacy standards, and PII protection.
- Manage change control processes and support RMF/ATO efforts by providing required documentation and coordination.
- Accessibility & User Experience Optimization- ensure platform accessibility through Section 508 compliance and UDL-aligned configuration.
- Optimize user workflows and use feedback to remove barriers and improve the overall learning experience.
- DataDriven Improvement & Evaluation- analyze system usage, feedback, and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Present recommendations for user experience improvements, administrative efficiency, and technology ROI.
- Learning Technology Strategy & Road-mapping- serve as a strategic advisor by monitoring emerging trends, performing market research, and maintaining a 1-3year learning technology roadmap.
- Manage technology lifecycles, including replacement planning for legacy systems.
- Emerging Technology Research & Piloting- evaluate and pilot new learning technologies such as gamification tools, social learning platforms, and microlearning solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, build business cases, and lead pilot programs through recommendation and implementation planning.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Experience supporting DoW learning ecosystems (e.g., SABA, Cornerstone, Totara, Moodle, Blackboard, SuccessFactors).
- Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Experience gathering artifacts and documentation for an Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) requirements and working with IA personnel.
- Handling, protecting, and managing systems that process Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Experience managing SCORM/xAPI content in secure environments and troubleshooting content tracking issues.
- Experience ensuring learning platforms meet Section 508 and WCAG accessibility requirements.
- Experience creating formal documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), System admin guides, and Change control documentation
- Experience participating in or managing Change Control Boards (CCBs).
- Understanding of the Department of War, chain of command, and communication expectations.
- Experience managing technical support tickets in environments where escalation is structured and formal.
- Ability to interpret system usage data, audit logs, and performance metrics.
- Experience developing recommendations to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Technical assessment and pilot testing of new learning technologies in secure environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
Benefits & conditions
The expected salary range for this position is between $77,000 and $125,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
