Job description

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for integrating across teams to drive engineering excellence in the execution of our F/A-18 development activities. The individual selected for this role will be focused on the Technical Integration role for Software Development and Advanced Systems activities., n \n

  • Ensure Engineering Excellence: Responsible for integrating across teams to ensure safety, technical excellence, and product integrity. Drives adherence to Boeing and program processes, setting high standards for quality and performance. \n

  • Systems Engineering Approach: Ensure an integrated systems engineering approach. Take ownership to manage requirements and ensure full traceability. Manage the configuration of the integrated system to ensure dependencies are well understood. Responsible for ensuring comprehensive certification and verification activities, demonstrating a commitment to excellence. \n

  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with the United States Navy (USN), engineering functions, and program management. Leverage these partnerships to enhance collaboration and drive program success. \n

  • Manage Technical Baseline: Oversees the technical baseline, including mission systems configuration, technical performance measures, architecture diagrams, and Risk Identification and Opportunity (RIO) assessments. Foster a culture of proactive technical oversight and continuous improvement. \n

  • Problem Solver: Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills by driving emerging issues to prompt resolution. Elevate concerns to management and program leadership as necessary. Investigate System Anomaly Reports in partnership with Mission Systems to ensure a quality deliverable. \n

  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with technical experts and teammates to foster creativity, achieve program objectives, and build customer trust. Ensure development estimates capture appropriate scope and complexity. \n

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science \n

  • 10+ years of engineering experience \n

  • 5+ years’ experience working on Mission systems \n

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $164,900 - $223,100
