Job description

Canyon Graphics is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Program Manager to lead the scale-up of a new product program for a major customer. This individual will lead the planning, execution, and successful launch of a new product through scaled production. The role blends technical process development, program and project management, and customer interfacing elements.

The ideal candidate can understand complex technical and operational details, successfully manage a project timeline, new product launch and scaling, and function as a strong point of contact for customer communication., Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead all phases of the new product launch program, including planning, execution, monitoring, and technical scale-up in a manufacturing environment.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including schedules, milestones, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the single point of contact for program status, issues, risks, changes, and communications, both internally and externally (including customers).
  • Lead core team meetings, reviews, and external updates to ensure alignment and clear communication

Engineering & Manufacturing Alignment

  • Grasp complex technical and process details to identify risks, recommend process changes, and improve manufacturability.
  • Support manufacturing readiness including line layout, process flow, tooling, quality checks, and operator training.
  • Monitor early pilot and validation builds to capture gaps and facilitate corrective actions.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key customer interface - understanding requirements, communicating status, responding to questions, and managing expectations.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders through verbal and written reports.

Continuous Improvement & Process Ownership

  • Become a subject matter expert on the process and facilitate training supporting additional work cells at different production sites.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce cost, improve quality, and enable scalable operations.
  • Promote adoption of best practices, tools, and KPIs to strengthen program execution and manufacturing outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical) or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, NPI, manufacturing operations, or operations engineering.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably lamination, die cutting, film management, and metrology
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated experience engaging directly with customers in a technical capacity.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, processes, and performance data with a mindset for operational excellence. Experience with GD&T, operating and interpreting an automated measurement system., * Experience with formal program/project management methodologies, MS Project or similar. PMP or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of GD&T, measurement methodologies and equipment, analytics and communication of results.
  • Experience with film coating, laminating, cutting.
  • Experience with automated vision systems.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement certifications., * Manufacturing/Operations: 7 years (Preferred)
