TMS Applications Specialist

To strengthen our European IT organisation, we are looking for a TMS Applications Specialist to support and optimise our Transport Management Systems. Your Role As TMS Applications Specialist, you are the link between transport operations and IT. You ensure our Transport Management Systems support the business efficiently by configuring applications, resolving issues and implementing improvements that make a real difference for our users. This is not a pure software development role. Instead, you’ll translate operational transport requirements into smart system configurations and help optimise the way our transport operations work across Europe. You’ll work closely with business users, IT colleagues and external vendors to deliver reliable and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Transport Management Systems based on business requirements
• Provide second-line application support and troubleshoot system issues
• Translate operational transport processes into functional system solutions
• Support system implementations, upgrades and continuous improvements
• Test new functionalities and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Build reports and analyse transport data
• Work with vendors and development teams to deliver system enhancements
• Provide training and guidance to business users and support teams

• Experience in transport, logistics or freight forwarding environments
• Knowledge of Transport Management Systems or other business applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable configuring applications and supporting business users
• Good technical understanding of interfaces, databases or SQL is an advantage
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Experience with Carlo TMS or similar Transport Management Systems is a strong advantage
