Job description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to deliver end-to-end solutions within a big telecommunication organization in the Netherlands. You will work in the team that makes sure the mobile network domain of the organization works in a flawless and continuous way. The platform they work on makes sure all the network elements are configured correctly when customers request a change or subscribe to a new service. You will work in a team that consists of 5 DevOps engineers, 1 Scrum Master and 1 Product Owner. As a DevOps engineer you will on the development of the services for the new 5G network. You will manage, solve incidents and design the new provisioning flow to ensure the services designed by the businesses can be configured in the new network that will be delivered by an external supplier.

Functieomschrijving You will enter a challenging environment where they work according to Agile/Scrum/DevOps methodologies. Your main tasks involve:

  • Designing the new provisioning flow.
  • Adding new functionalities to the existing network.
  • Delivering, modifying and automating mobile processes using Python or Shell scripting.
  • Building test cases.
  • Setting up and maintaining CI/ CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Building new test cases with Jenkins.
  • Performing test automation with Robot Framework.

Requirements

  • You have at least 4 years of experience as an IT Engineer.
  • You have experience developing with Java or Groovy.
  • You have experience with SOAP or Rest design models.
  • You have scripting experience foe example with Python, Bash, PowerShell or Shell.
  • You have experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tooling.
  • You have database experience, for example with SQL.
  • You have unit testing experience.
  • You have worked with software and requirement specification techniques like Rational Unified Process (RUP) or Rapid Application Development (RAD) - nice to have.

Benefits & conditions

  • Holiday pay 8% of gross annual salary;
  • 25 Vacation days + 0.5 bonus days per 6 months if you have remained fit and healthy (read: do not report sick);
  • Travel allowance 19 cents/kilometer;
