Job description

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who will join our security applications department in Paderborn. You will design, create, and test innovative products, systems, and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional technical and engineering teams to define product requirements, establish mechanical, physical, and software design strategies, and develop creative concepts. You will drive production processes, evaluate and test prototypes, and make real-time adjustments to optimize performance, functionality, and overall product quality. Through your expertise and problem-solving skills, you will play a key role in transforming ideas into successful, market-ready solutions., * Gain familiarity with Software Development Engineering concepts, practices, and methodologies within security solutions development.

  • Set up, maintain, and optimize development environments and systems using technologies such as Gradle, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and other modern development tools.
  • Support the team in the design, deployment, and operation of security solutions, ensuring effective implementation and ongoing reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging applications, servers, web functionality, etc.
  • Learns and applies Software Development Engineering methodologies and practices.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with security analysts on vulnerability assessments.
  • Contribute to mobile application development.
  • Work with cryptographic libraries for secure communications.Define and implement solutions for security components and third-party library updates.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in Software Development Engineering.
  • Proven proficiency in C++ (school projects, internship, personal projects).
  • Familiarity with integrating modern AI tools into their daily workflow.
  • Fluent communication in German and English language.
  • Interest to work with Rust and Flutter.
  • Great overview of security solutions is nice to have.
  • Able to independently analyze technical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Committed to continuous professional growth and skill development.Able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
