Job description

  • Serve as a senior unified network engineer encompassing terrestrial and SATCOM communications hardware and software solutions.
  • Provides expertise on integrated tactical network, both lower tactical tier and upper tactical tier to colleagues and government clients.
  • Responsibilities include devising architectures, solutions, and strategies to further optimize and enhance the unifying network (enterprise and tactical).
  • Perform systems engineering, design, analysis, and experimentation to advance the security and reliability of wireless technologies including wide/narrowband SATCOM and current and emerging terrestrial waveforms.
  • Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of network-related projects.
  • Actively participate in development of business and vendor relationships.
  • Participate in the technical components of the proposal development process.
  • Participate in pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives.
  • Actively participate in technical staff recruitment and retention activities and provide input and guidance into the network-related project staffing process.

Requirements

(SBG), a DSS, Inc. company, offers Systems Engineering, Enterprise Modernization, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and IT Governance innovation to Federal and commercial clients nationwide. We are looking for an Information Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced individual who is hard working with the ability to excel in a challenging, fast-paced government contractor environment. The position location is Arlington, VA. This is a temporary position through October 8,2024, but may possibly be extended., The Network Engineer will have knowledge of Army and/or DoD networks. This position will advise senior decision makers on network strategy and integration efforts. Applicants must have network architecture/engineering experience and experience with Army networks is preferred., * Bachelor’s degree in the specialized field plus 10 years of applicable experience; OR, a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 15 years of specialized experience, OR a master’s degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 5 year of applicable experience.

  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred

  • Experience with Army tactical networks.
  • Experience with the Army enterprise network.
  • TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with 5G cellular networks.
  • Experience with military mission partner environments/mission partner networks (MPN)
  • Experience assessing and integrating satellite communications (SATCOM) capabilities.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experience serving as an Information Network Engineering Officer (FA 26) or a Network Operations Warrant Officer (255N)
