Job description

As a SharePoint Online Migration Specialist / Techno-Functional SME, you will lead the migration of content from shared network drives and SaaS platforms into SharePoint Online while ensuring compliance, governance, and user adoption objectives are achieved. You will work directly with business stakeholders, leadership, and technical teams to design migration strategies, implement SharePoint solutions, and drive Modern Workplace transformation initiatives., * Lead end-to-end migration of data from shared drives, Canvas LMS, and other SaaS platforms into SharePoint Online.

  • Administer, configure, and optimize SharePoint Online environments and information architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
  • Utilize ShareGate and related tools to execute and validate data migrations.
  • Design and implement SharePoint sites, forms, workflows, web parts, and business solutions.
  • Ensure SharePoint governance, permissions, retention policies, and compliance standards are followed.
  • Support adoption of Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Develop technical documentation, standards, procedures, and migration plans.
  • Deliver end-user training, workshops, and change management activities.
  • Serve as the primary SharePoint SME for leadership, business users, and project teams.

Requirements

  • Direct hands-on experience executing SharePoint Online migration projects.
  • Expert-level SharePoint Online administration, configuration, and governance experience.
  • Experience migrating content from shared drives, Canvas LMS, or other learning management systems into SharePoint Online.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ShareGate for planning and executing migrations.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Proven techno-functional experience combining business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and technical implementation.
  • Experience gathering requirements and developing SharePoint specifications, standards, and solution documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint governance, permissions, retention policies, compliance, and information architecture.
  • Experience leading user adoption, training programs, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to all levels of leadership; public-sector, education, and FERPA-related experience preferred.
