1099 - Tech Support

Beach Bum Holiday Rentals & Property Management is seeking a dependable, tech-savvy independent contractor to provide technical support for our vacation rental properties. This role involves assisting guests with technology-related issues, including TVs, Wi-Fi, cable, internet, and streaming services, both remotely and through occasional on-site visits.

Candidates must have open availability, as support requests may occur during business hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional late nights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot guest issues involving:
• Wi-Fi and internet connectivity
• Smart TVs
• Cable equipment
• Streaming devices and services (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV, etc.)
• Resolve technical issues over the phone whenever possible.
• Visit properties when an on-site solution is required.
• Set up, replace, and troubleshoot routers, modems, TVs, streaming devices, and other technology.
• Communicate professionally with guests and office staff.
• Document completed work and report unresolved issues.

• Experience troubleshooting TVs, Wi-Fi, cable, internet, and streaming platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of networking and home technology is preferred.

Additional Opportunity

Applicants with excellent customer service skills may also have the opportunity to answer after-hours guest phone calls, assisting with guest questions and coordinating maintenance or emergency requests.

Availability

• Open availability is required.
• Must be available to respond to calls during weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional late-night emergencies.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to respond promptly when needed.

$25 - $60 an hour - Contract, * 1099 Independent Contractor
