Job description

Provides onsite technical support of Premier’s warehouse management systems and third-party applications. Troubleshoots, maintains, resolves issues, and monitors mission critical systems. Works with business users, software developers, system administrators and other IT Technicians to ensure continuous service delivery demands that exceed customer satisfaction.

Must be a US Citizen- Citizenship required due to federal contract work

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Configures and maintains various WMS systems.
  • Ensures data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
  • Replaces and upgrades defective and outdated components when necessary.
  • Managers users and access levels.
  • Manages and addresses data warehouse application issues.
  • Proactively investigates WMS systems issues.
  • Works with system users to coordinate requirements, design, testing, and end-user training of systems upgrades.
  • Ensures system is operating at full capacity after any testing or troubleshooting of the software.
  • Assumes responsibility as the focal point for any system issues.
  • Performs disaster recovery architecting, planning, implementation and testing.
  • Applies continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.
  • Conducts support tasks independently as well as coordinating with others as needed.
  • Escalates issues with senior team members, vendors, and management to reduce negative impacts.
  • Documents and maintains support knowledge articles, administration checklists and procedures.
  • Implements monitoring and automated alerting using various methods and tools.
  • Develops software to perform and automate system and applications functions.
  • Works closely with Application Development team to support the Software Development Life Cycle process.
  • Automates the software builds, promotions, and deployment processes.
  • Maintains and patches 3rd party applications; coordinates testing, implementation and support with 3rd party vendors.
  • Identifies solutions that improve both business and technical users experience and productivity.

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college, university, or technical school
  • Five to seven years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as client requirements, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Ability to work with and be proficient with Microsoft 365 software and various other office equipment.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one in small group situations.
  • Ability to write and complete routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to exercise tact, judgement, persuasiveness, and diplomacy with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Administrator experience with warehouse management systems and shop floor controls.
  • Experience and ability to work with JSON, SQL, and XML
  • Preferrable experience with Mantis LVS, Manhattan, Blue Yonder or INFOR WMS
