Database Architect

This Database Architect position will function as database developer/architect supporting multiple software applications for the DOH Office of Professional Medical Conduct. The selected candidate will support database architecture, design, development, troubleshooting, and documentation activities for critical business applications. Responsibilities: Analysis and design of database objects and data collection systems, including the transformation of legislative requirements into system functionality. Data modelling. Software development tasks including Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server coding, testing, and implementation. Troubleshooting issues in the application to find solutions. Preparation of technical and user documentation. Design and maintain physical and logical database models. Develop and maintain Oracle packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. Design relational databases and integrate multiple database schemas. 84 Months experience in interpreting physical database models and experience with relational database concepts such as indexes, primary and foreign keys, and constraints using both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. 84 Months experience developing using Oracle PL/SQL, including database packages, procedures, functions and triggers. 84 Months experience working with Oracle version 11g or later. 84 Months experience in using Oracle programming tools (SQLPlus, SQLLoader or other Oracle database programming tools). 60 Months experience developing using Microsoft Transact-SQL (T-SQL). 60 Months experience in designing relational databases. 24 Months experience in integrating multiple database schemas. 18 Months experience in using Git.
