Job description
The State of Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Cloud Security, DevSecOps, AI-driven Security Automation, and Enterprise Cybersecurity. The consultant will serve as a trusted technical advisor to the State CISO while leading the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures, vulnerability management automation, and AI-powered security solutions.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering, requiring the candidate to architect enterprise security solutions, automate security operations, mentor internal teams, and modernize the State’’s cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the CISO and senior leadership. Design and implement secure cloud architectures across enterprise environments. Build and integrate DevSecOps pipelines with automated security controls. Lead enterprise vulnerability management and flaw remediation initiatives. Implement AI-powered security automation for threat detection, log analysis, and code remediation. Integrate security platforms including Tenable.io, Google SecOps, Mandiant ASM, Azure Arc, Splunk, and GitHub Advanced Security. Develop automated workflows for risk management, compliance, alerting, and security governance. Mentor and train internal engineering teams through hands-on knowledge transfer. Drive cloud security best practices and continuous improvement across the organization. Requirements
Experience working with Government or Public Sector organizations. Experience in large, federated enterprise environments. Strong background in multi-cloud security architecture. Experience implementing AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions. Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Senior Cloud Security Architect or DevSecOps Architect with extensive experience in enterprise cloud security, security automation, AI-enabled cybersecurity, and executive-level advisory. They should be capable of both designing enterprise security architecture and actively implementing technical solutions while mentoring engineering teams
