Job description
We’re seeking an Electric Engine Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly of electric propulsion systems for next-generation aircraft. This is a hands-on manufacturing role working in an R&D and early production environment, building electric engines that include inverters, stators, gearboxes, and motors.
You’ll partner closely with engineering teams to support prototype builds, equipment bring-up, process validation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Assemble electric engines using manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment
- Build mechanical and electronic assemblies following engineering work instructions
- Support equipment bring-up and process validation activities
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and production processes
- Debug electric engine assemblies
- Build basic lab fixtures and manufacturing tools
- Perform routine equipment maintenance
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Document builds, deviations, and manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Experience working in an R&D, prototype, or early production environment
- Hands-on experience assembling mechanical and electronic products
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience following detailed work instructions and documenting deviations
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Experience using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, or similar equipment
- Familiarity with 5S manufacturing practices
- Experience following manufacturing safety procedures including LOTO and Arc Flash
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
- IPC certification or IPC knowledge
- Experience assembling stator windings
- SAP experience

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
