Job description

We’re seeking an Electric Engine Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly of electric propulsion systems for next-generation aircraft. This is a hands-on manufacturing role working in an R&D and early production environment, building electric engines that include inverters, stators, gearboxes, and motors.

You’ll partner closely with engineering teams to support prototype builds, equipment bring-up, process validation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

  • Assemble electric engines using manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment
  • Build mechanical and electronic assemblies following engineering work instructions
  • Support equipment bring-up and process validation activities
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and production processes
  • Debug electric engine assemblies
  • Build basic lab fixtures and manufacturing tools
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Document builds, deviations, and manufacturing issues
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in an R&D, prototype, or early production environment
  • Hands-on experience assembling mechanical and electronic products
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Experience following detailed work instructions and documenting deviations
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship
  • Experience using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, or similar equipment
  • Familiarity with 5S manufacturing practices
  • Experience following manufacturing safety procedures including LOTO and Arc Flash
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Nice to Have

  • IPC certification or IPC knowledge
  • Experience assembling stator windings
  • SAP experience

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
