Job description

As part of the Global Technology Platform Program Management organization, you will join a team of Program Managers who are delivering exciting business application engineered cloud experience and enable them to deliver great application solutions for Walmart customers. You will also own critical workstreams for technology component and service work decomposition, execution plans, execution, feedback loops and transparency. You will work collaboratively with product management and engineering teams to ensure on time delivery with quality results.

About the Global Technology Platform Program Management Team:

The Global Technology Platform Program Management Team focuses on the execution of strategic initiatives in Global Technology Platform organization with alignment to Walmart Global Technology vision and direction. The team owns the execution rhythm to deliver high quality outcomes based on product roadmaps. The team also drives for organization transformation with Agile methodology.

What you’ll do…

  • Own strategic initiatives and work with a passionate team of Product and Engineering Leaders to deliver outcomes for the Developer Platform team
  • Inspire and energize cross-functional teams to achieve our vision, define our strategy, evaluate our business, and identify opportunities to work better and deliver value to our internal and external customers
  • Deliver highly visible, high-impact programs and coach your team of experienced and skilled program managers
  • Lead your team to continue building structure and rigor in our practices, build mastery in our program management craft, and inspire creativity and innovation
  • Define and execute plans for priority initiatives in an agile environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of total work experience in a combination of technology development, program management, business analysis or strategy
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platforms orchestration, architecture, capacity management, containers, monitoring, telemetry, application management and deployment.
  • Knowledge and working experience in cloud and data technologies: container/Kubernetes, Platform as a Services, Big Data processing platforms (such as Dataproc), Messaging & Streaming services, Transactional and Non-Transitional Database
  • Experience using product backlog management tools like JIRA and Confluence for planning, execution and release transparency
  • Strong communication skills (oral, verbal and listening) as well as the ability to influence key decision makers and understand their points of view, Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

  • Option 2: 9 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Certification in Project Management., Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 5 years’ experience in product design., We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
