Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer to support development, testing, and deployment by automating CI/CD pipelines and workflows, managing version control (e.g., Git), and maintaining data integrity within Salesforce environments. You will manage pipeline security and support end-to-end releases across multiple Salesforce orgs, working closely with development, QA, and business stakeholders on weekly, 3-week, and project-based release cycles. You will also be responsible for back-promoting changes across lower-level orgs to keep all environments in sync., As the Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you’ll bridge development and IT operations to enable faster, safer releases using tools like Copado or Gearset, manage metadata, enforce best practices, and ensure environment synchronization - while mentoring project team members as needed., * Own and optimize the CI/CD pipeline for Salesforce development using tools such as Copado

  • Design, configure, and maintain deployment pipelines to promote metadata and code across Salesforce environments
  • Manage branching strategies, commits, and merge processes using GitHub, ensuring code integrity and traceability
  • Maintain synchronization across dev, sandbox, and production environments, including data seeding and sandbox refreshes
  • Design pipeline workflows that enforce controlled access and segregation of duties; conduct monthly release audits
  • Continuously automate and enhance release processes to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Own end-to-end Salesforce release planning, coordination, and execution across multiple environments
  • Manage deployments of Apex code, Lightning components, and configuration changes; troubleshoot deployment failures
  • Perform pre-deployment risk assessments and develop rollback strategies
  • Ensure accurate back-promotion of changes to lower-level orgs
  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, and QA teams to resolve blockers and support testing cycles
  • Monitor deployment success, maintain audit trails, and ensure compliance
  • Implement data backup solutions and oversee data migration activities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce DevOps Engineer or Developer
  • Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline management with tools such as Change Sets, Copado, AutoRABIT, Gearset, Ant Migration, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
  • In-depth experience with Salesforce deployments, including change sets, Ant migration, and Salesforce DX
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, sandboxes, production environments, and metadata management
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies (3-week sprints, daily scrums)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical, business, and executive stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple competing priorities

Required Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Copado Fundamentals I and II

Preferred Certifications & Experience

  • Salesforce Certified Developer, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer
  • Copado Extension Builder, Copado AI Certification
  • Prior Higher Ed experience
  • Knowledge of source-format deployment approaches
