Job description

Build and refine 2D game systems using Cocos2d-x to create high-quality, real-world inputs that train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This role involves developing game logic, assets, and scenes for prototype and production projects, delivering reliable, well-documented code, and iterating based on feedback from the customer’’s team. No prior experience in AI is required, your domain knowledge in game development is the priority. About micro1: micro1 is an AI data lab that trains frontier models and evaluates AI agents. The company converts experts broad subject knowledge across finance, healthcare, STEM engineering, and more into training data, evaluations, and feedback loops that improve how AI systems learn, reason, and perform. micro1 identifies and vets talent through an AI-enabled recruiter and aims to enable 1 billion people to do meaningful work by applying their expertise to AI, building the human intelligence layer for frontier AI. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine game logic, mechanics, and features using Cocos2d-x for both prototype and production work.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer team to provide high-quality, real-world input used in AI training processes.
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot game assets, scenes, and related resources to meet varied training objectives.
  • Test, debug, and optimize Cocos2d-x code to ensure robust, efficient gameplay and stable behaviour.
  • Document code, processes, and design decisions so both technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand deliverables.
  • Communicate status, challenges, and progress clearly in written and verbal form.
  • Work iteratively in response to feedback, continuously improving deliverables for AI development needs.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of Cocos2d-x and hands-on experience with 2D game development workflows.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in a game development context.
  • Experience collaborating remotely with distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, concise updates and documentation.
  • Ability to follow technical specifications and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Understanding of game design principles and player experience optimization.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a dynamic AI training environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on projects that produced data for AI training or data generation purposes.
  • Familiarity with additional game engines or programming languages beyond Cocos2d-x.
  • Prior collaboration with AI or machine learning specialists., * No prior AI experience required, domain expertise in game development is sufficient.
  • Must be able to work remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
  • Proven experience with Cocos2d-x is required.
