As a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) within the Software Product Management organization for AMDâs Data Center GPU Business Unit, you will play a critical role in shaping the customer journey- from early technical engagement and education through deployment, scaling, and optimization of AMD Instinctpowered data center GPU solutions.
In this role, you will bridge deep technical expertise with clear, compelling communication. You will help customers, partners, and internal teams understand how to design, deploy, and operate AMD-powered GPU clusters & networks to unlock performance and value across HPC & AI solutions. Your work will enable customers to become productive quickly through high-quality documentation, training, and hands-on technical assets that reduce friction and accelerate adoption., + Translate internal reference designs for AMD Instinct GPU clusters into clear, customer-ready technical briefs, reference architectures, and deployment guides.
- Articulate system-level value propositions-including performance, scalability, networking, power, cooling, and TCO-in language that sales and partners can confidently use with AI data center customers.
- Develop âwhat to say to customersâ guidance, including common deployment scenarios, sizing recommendations, architectural tradeoffs, and design best practices.
- Sales & Field Enablement
- Partner closely with sales, FAEs, and solutions engineers to ensure consistent, accurate, and compelling messaging for AMD data center GPU cluster solutions.
- Create and maintain enablement assets such as pitch decks, whitepapers, FAQs, competitive positioning, and architectural overviews.
- Support strategic customer and partner engagements by providing deep technical context and architectural guidance when needed.
- Technical Training & Education
- Design and deliver high-impact technical training for internal audiences (sales, FAEs, solutions engineers) covering GPU clusters, networking fabrics, power, cooling, and data center-scale deployment considerations.
- Deliver external technical training for OEMs, ODMs, CSPs, and end customers, tailoring content for varying levels of technical depth.
- Build modular, reusable training content (slides, diagrams, labs, recordings) that can be scaled globally.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with architecture, product management, and engineering teams to stay aligned with current and future reference designs and roadmap direction.
- Provide structured feedback from the field to influence future reference architectures, documentation, and enablement priorities.

Requirements
You are a technically deep, customer-facing engineer who enjoys turning complex system designs into clear, compelling stories. You are equally comfortable discussing GPU architecture, high-speed networking, power and cooling, and explaining those concepts in a way that enables sales teams, partners, and customers to confidently design and deploy large-scale AI datacenters. You thrive at the intersection of architecture, marketing, and enablement-bridging engineering detail with business impact.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills, can distill dense reference designs into crisp technical briefs, and enjoy teaching others through structured training, presentations, and workshops., * Experience in technical marketing, systems engineering, solutions architecture, or a related role focused on datacenter infrastructure or AI platforms.
- Strong understanding of GPU-based AI clusters, including scale-up and scale-out architectures.
- Hands-on knowledge of datacenter networking including400G/800G Ethernet, RoCE, leaf-spine topologies, rail vs. fat-tree designs.
- Familiarity with power delivery and cooling for high-density racks, including air cooling, liquid cooling, and rack-level power design.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical content into clear, sales-ready documentation and presentations.
- Confidence presenting complex technical material in customer-facing settings within a fast-paced, large-scale organization.
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and technical storytelling skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Experience working with OEMs, ODMs, or cloud service providers is a plus.
- Experience with modern documentation and publishing workflows including Markdown, Read the Docs, and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Proficiency with standard productivity and publishing tools used for technical documentation and training delivery.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required. MS or PhD is a plus.
