Systems Engineer - II

We are currently looking for a motivated IT Systems Engineer to join our Technical Services Team. An IT Systems Engineer at Roeing helps plan, support and troubleshoot our client’s environments through Professional Services, Managed IT Services, and servicing tickets through an IT Helpdesk. An IT Engineer also works closely with their Technical Services Team to both provide and receive support from other Systems Engineers, maintain documentation and learn custom client solutions to provide top-level customer service.

Primary Technical Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in the implementation, and support of customer Technology needs

Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our corporate and customer data

Remote and on-premises support for client and technical staff of: Servers, Desktops, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless APs, Backups, Critical Power, Environmental Monitoring, and others

Help implement and support cloud solutions - Azure, Datto, Microsoft 365

Troubleshooting and support of client Active Directory, Domain, Hybrid Cloud, and Line of Business Applications

Patching, monitoring, and general maintenance of client network, server, and desktop environments

Participation in On-call rotation for emergency client outages

Intensive, detailed, and accurate documentation and timekeeping

Expected Technical Specialization

Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot Microsoft server platforms (2012 through 2022), desktop platforms (Windows 10/11, some Mac), Active Directory, DNS, and Office 365

GPO management and Scripting experience a plus

Understanding and/or Experience with VMWare, Scale, Hyper-V Server Platforms

Ability to understand, support and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure: Switches, VLANs, routing

Some experience supporting backups with Veeam or Datto Platforms

Ability to deploy and manage firewalls including Sophos, Fortinet, and others

Consulting Assistance Responsibilities

Support and troubleshooting of customer technology platforms

Assist in evaluating client needs and determining the appropriate technology solution

Assist with preparing customer Engagement Proposals when required

Assist in presenting solutions to prospective customers

Assist in each stage of the sales process with the sales team

Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort in a client-facing role through in-person, phone, and email communication

Enjoys working alongside a team of and learning / taking instruction from Level 3 Engineers

Self-motivation and independent study

Ease of learning new technology

Ability to work several projects and service requests concurrently

Presentable business-casual appearance

Dependable work attendance

Understanding of the sales process

Willingness to learn and grow

Valued Certifications

· Microsoft MCSA

· Microsoft AZ-900, Associates degree in a related field and/or a minimum of two years relevant experience in the Information Technology field., Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

Active Directory: 3-4 years (Preferred)

Azure: 1 year (Preferred)

VMWare: 1 year (Preferred)

Computer hardware: 1 year (Preferred)

Network Infrastructure: 1 year (Preferred)

IT support: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

Driver’s License (Required)

A+, Network+, Security+, and Microsoft MCSA Certification, AZ-900 (Preferred)
