Model Based Systems Engineer Sr. Staff (Secret Clearance)

THE WORK This position will perform some or all of the following duties, concentrating on early-phase (concept, requirements, and design) activities of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle: 1.Lead the development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs, acquired through documentation and solicitation, into easily reviewable technical approaches. 2.Perform requirements elicitation and decomposition using behavioral artifacts such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system under development. 3.Lead the development of physical and logical system models capturing the system under development utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools. 4.Lead system interface development, as captured in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), by converting system and interface requirements into message-level details sufficient to coordinate interface development. 5.Support formal and informal engineering technical reviews. 6.Create, review and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, architectural documentation, and engineering estimates. 7.Interface with key stakeholders, including the MDA customer and working-level counterparts, as-required. 8.Participate in Agile development planning and execution, including iteration planning and status reporting., Description The IT Security Engineer is responsible for testing, evaluating, and supporting cybersecurity platforms, tools, and system integrations across the enterprise environm…

• A final secret clearance is required for consideration.
• Experience in an integrated team, covering the full Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle.
• Proven experience interacting directly with customers to elicit needs and define requirements.
• Hands on work with missile defense, space defense (Space Domain Awareness), or other similar space mission elements.
• Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as Cameo, etc.

Desired skills

• Strong prior experience with use of MSOSA (Cameo) and DOORS.
• Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense applications or similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, suborbital mechanics, etc.).
• Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems (e.g., aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures, etc.).
• Modeling and analysis experience in aspects of the missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), Fire Control, C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, etc.).
• Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems., Ability to work remotely

Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
