WFI Item Configuration & Marketing Cost Analyst

Reporting to the Supervisor, Marketing Cost, the Item Configuration Specialist & Marketing Analyst plays a hybrid role with responsibilities for both Item Creation within our ERP system and quoting/pricing within our MCP database. This position owns the data necessary to drive production in an ERP environment. The position will facilitate the development, implementation, testing, verification, and maintenance of bills of material and routings. He/she will work closely with the Scheduling & Commercialization Supervisor and Supervisor, Marketing Cost to become an expert MRP/ERP system user, understanding product flow and the interactions of item set up, bill of materials and routings as they impact various stakeholders across sales, planning, production, inventory control, product development, purchasing and accounting. The Marketing Analyst aspect will support the department by preparing quotations, maintaining internal and external price lists, calculating margins, and providing sales and cost analysis., Growth within the Sales & Marketing Department. Possibility of transfer to other departments within the Company., * Defines and manages item configuration and manufacturing bill of materials (BOMs), time estimates for work, steps, process routings, and methods.

• Documents all correct processes for item setup, bill of materials set up, routings and workflow.
• Coordinates and ensures completion of all activities related to the implementation of product development changes, ensuring that BOMs and routings are up-to-date and optimized to the product development intent.
• Assists production in establishing standards, methods, and speed involved in manufacturing and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency.
• Own and implement rolling costs and provide cross functional communication of cost impact from creation/maintenance of BOM and routings.
• Audit or monitor work in-progress to ensure conformance to set labor standards.
• Coordinate the disposition of non-conforming material and adjusts job routings and material requirements accordingly, if rework dispositions are required.
• Review quotes including the verification of costs utilizing indented Bill-of-Material and assigning contribution margins.
• Work with the sales coordinators and sales representatives in the preparation of quotes requiring competitive pricing to ensure the integrity of the company’s profitability is maintained.
• Review daily Contribution Margin reports.
• Collaborate on and manage projects relating to costing, quotes and analysis of market activities.
• Work with other departments within the organization to make improvements in the manufacturing process as it relates to costing of products.
• Create monthly and ad hoc reports.

Two to five years of experience working in Movex or with bill of materials., High school diploma or equivalent is required., Basic mathematical and computer aptitude/skills, a strong aptitude for attention to detail, MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and Access preferred, good interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills, good problem solving & decision-making skills, team player. Experience in a manufacturing environment, utilizing an MRP program, preferred., Ability to walk between plants. Requires use of both hands with occasional repetitive hand movements. Visual acuity required for reading and computer work. Able to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion.
