Job description

DRMP is seeking an experienced Senior Alternative Delivery Project Engineer to help lead the pursuit and delivery of some of Florida’s most impactful transportation infrastructure projects., * Perform engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, construction, and Temporary Traffic Control details.

  • Creation of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports.
  • Perform advanced MicroStation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads processes using 3D modeling.
  • Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams.

Requirements

In this role, you’ll collaborate with a high-performing team to develop innovative Alternative Technical Concepts (ATCs), geometric roadway designs, and construction plans that drive successful Design-Build pursuits. Your technical expertise, strategic thinking, and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams will play a critical role in winning and delivering complex transportation projects throughout the state., * B.S. from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum of 10 years of transportation roadway design experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads
  • Strong knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria, FDM and Standard Plans
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on limited-access projects
  • Experience working on alternative delivery / design-build projects
  • Experience with 3D corridor modeling
