Job description
We are seeking a Senior Unix LDAP Engineer with 10+ years of experience supporting secure LDAP environments within large-scale enterprise infrastructures. This individual will be responsible for administering and securing LDAP/LDAPS environments, managing Unix/Linux systems, supporting DNS services, and leading server lifecycle activities including builds, upgrades, patching, migrations, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure engineering expertise, a security-first mindset, and experience supporting mission-critical production environments., * Administer and maintain LDAP/LDAPS directory services in enterprise environments
- Configure, secure, and troubleshoot LDAP authentication and directory integrations
- Manage Unix/Linux server environments including builds, installations, upgrades, and patching
- Perform server migrations and infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Administer and support DNS infrastructure and related services
- Implement system hardening, access controls, and security best practices
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across infrastructure environments
- Troubleshoot complex system, authentication, and connectivity issues
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from a reputed institution
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Unix/Linux system administration
- Strong experience administering LDAP and Secure LDAP (LDAPS) environments
- Experience with DNS server administration and troubleshooting
- Expertise with server builds, installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Knowledge of system security, authentication, and access management concepts
- Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OpenLDAP, 389 Directory Server, or similar LDAP platforms
- Knowledge of Kerberos, PAM, SSO, MFA, or Identity & Access Management solutions
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, or Solaris
- Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or Perl
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
- Understanding of PKI, certificates, and encryption technologies
