As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with software developers, end users, and program stakeholders to support the design, development, and delivery of customer-funded applications and capabilities. - Work with customers and development teams to plan features, document requirements, and assist with cost and schedule inputs
- Gather and refine user requirements, including wireframes, mockups, and conceptual designs
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and assist in triaging software issues
- Develop mission use cases and test cases to support software development
- Create and maintain scripts that support troubleshooting and testing
- Assist with development and maintenance of CDRLs and program documentation
- Contribute to briefings and presentations for customers and program stakeholders
- Participate in planning sessions, sprint activities, and technical discussions across multiple projects
- Support risk and opportunity identification throughout the program
- Document and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate effectively within a small team environment to tackle complex problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SSBI and SCI eligibility (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Experience working within an Agile software development lifecycle and associated tools
- 5+ years of experience as a systems engineer supporting software development for Government programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with guidance while contributing to a small, fast-paced team
- Demonstrated experience supporting Government customers or Prime Contractors on technical programs
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong systems engineering and technical writing skills
- Experience contributing to roadmaps, planning artifacts, and future capability concepts
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for managing Agile development
- Experience working with customers across the DoD or Intelligence Community
