Job description

We are seeking junior to an experienced Desktop Support Specialist (Computer Technician) responsible for providing support and troubleshooting issues affecting multiple types of endpoint computing devices in a small business environment.

The Desktop Specialist will be the day-to-day focal point for Desktop related support being provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracks and resolves straightforward IT open ticket issues in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicates complex IT open ticket issues to higher-level specialists for resolution
  • Ability to resolve issues related to printing, desktop hardware, and connectivity issues
  • Provides regular follow-up on requests made by users via phone, e-mail, and/or ticket system
  • Assists in the installation and maintenance of all hardware assets, including, but not limited to: desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and servers.
  • Provides onsite and offsite resolution for IT issues, as needed
  • Provides clear and concise guidance for hardware and software users
  • Create documentation for IT issues that were resolved
  • Specialized skills and knowledge in areas of Microsoft Windows 10 Pro systems and Microsoft Applications, Backup Services, Data Storage
  • Provide Support & Maintenance for all desktops

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Active Directory/Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP) A+, Network +
  • Experience with software distribution, imaging, Networking , Data Security, and Virtualization
