Job description

The Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect serves as the technical lead responsible for the architecture, design oversight, quality assurance, governance, security compliance, and technical direction of all USDA Rural Development Power Platform solutions. This role involves leading the design and implementation of enterprise solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint integrations while ensuring adherence to security and accessibility standards. Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture and technical design activities for Power Platform solutions.
  • Define solution architecture for ULO Power App, Document Approval/Clearance App, and Incubation Hub.
  • Establish development standards and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA security requirements and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Review deliverables for quality and technical accuracy.
  • Lead knowledge-transfer sessions and support customer briefings and status reviews.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Certified Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience designing enterprise Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience supporting Federal Government clients.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online integration.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with USDA security compliance and governance standards.
  • Strong skills in knowledge transfer and customer engagement.

Special Considerations:

  • Must ensure strict compliance with USDA security requirements.
  • Adherence to Section 508 accessibility standards is mandatory.
