Sr. ServiceNow / ITSM Developer -100% REMOTE

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team in developing, customizing, and maintaining enterprise-level ServiceNow applications and workflows. This remote position requires a skilled professional who can translate complex business requirements into robust ServiceNow solutions while adhering to platform best practices and federal compliance standards., * Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and business processes across multiple modules (ITSM, ITAM, HRSD, SPM, ITOM) in multi-tenant environments

• Create and maintain complex business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, and scheduled jobs while adhering to domain separation best practices
• Develop custom forms, lists, and UI components to enhance user experience and streamline business processes across different organizational domains
• Build and configure ServiceNow Service Portal pages, widgets, and Employee Center customizations for multi-tenant architectures
• Implement advanced scripting solutions using JavaScript, GlideScript API, and ServiceNow APIs with consideration for cross-domain functionality and security

Integration & Automation

• Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub
• Create automated workflows using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Orchestration capabilities
• Implement data import/export processes using Import Sets, Transform Maps, and ETL operations
• Design and develop real-time and scheduled integration solutions with enterprise applications
• Build custom web services and API endpoints for third-party system connectivity

Technical Implementation & Optimization

• Participate in technical design sessions and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards
• Optimize application performance through efficient scripting, proper indexing, and query optimization
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks using ATF (Automated Test Framework)
• Support platform upgrades, testing, and deployment activities using update sets and scoped applications

Documentation & Collaboration

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications, code comments, and user guides
• Collaborate with architects, administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and team members
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of production issues

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with demonstrated progression in technical complexity and responsibility
• Minimum 6 years of experience developing in enterprise ServiceNow environments (5,000+ users)
• Extensive experience working with multi-tenant ServiceNow environments and domain separation architectures
• Strong background in software development with object-oriented programming principles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

Security & Compliance

• Experience working with federal compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA preferred)
• Understanding of security best practices in government environments

Technical SkillsCore ServiceNow Development

• Proven experience developing in complex multi-tenant ServiceNow environments with Domain Separation and data isolation requirements
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript API, and ServiceNow scripting with 8+ years of demonstrated expertise
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow development tools including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and UI Actions in multi-tenant environments
• Expert knowledge of ServiceNow data model, tables, relationships, and domain separation architecture
• Experience with ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer, and process automation across organizational domains
• Proficiency in ServiceNow Service Portal development and AngularJS framework

Integration & APIs

• Proven experience with REST/SOAP web services development and consumption
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Integration Hub, MID Server, and Import Sets
• Experience with JSON, XML data formats and transformation
• Understanding of authentication methods (OAuth, Basic Auth, Certificate-based)

Web Technologies

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AngularJS
• Experience with Bootstrap framework and responsive design principles
• Knowledge of AJAX, jQuery, and modern web development practices
• Understanding of RESTful web services and API design principles

• Strong SQL knowledge and database concepts
