Job description
- Manage a portfolio of nonprofit clients, developing a deep understanding of each organization’s mission, programs, and fundraising priorities
- Conduct prospect research and screening across individuals, corporations, and foundations
- Lead and manage the full grant lifecycle-from research and writing to submission and reporting
- Develop compelling donor communications, including emails, letters, proposals, and presentations
- Coordinate and implement donor stewardship strategies, ensuring thoughtful and timely engagement
- Track fundraising performance and activities using shared systems and documentation
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects
- Contribute creative ideas and strategic insights to elevate fundraising outcomes
- Support and coordinate client meetings, events, and internal initiatives as needed
- Play a key role in identifying community engagement opportunities and nonprofit events, * Attend and participate in community events, fundraisers, and nonprofit gatherings
- Help build training resources for nonprofit clients
- Expand your network across a wide range of organizations and donors
A Day in the Life
- Regular 1:1s with the Vice President of Development to prioritize work and support your success
- Daily collaboration with team members to stay aligned on client needs
- Weekly client meetings (virtual and in-person), ranging from strategy sessions to execution-focused updates
- A mix of deep, focused work (grant writing, research) and dynamic collaboration (brainstorming, planning, events)

In-Office Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Types of clients you will work with:
- Healthcare (community campaign focused, raising $2M alongside a community of organization stakeholders)
- Animal welfare (early stages of a feasibiiltiy study for a capital campaign)
- Parks, trails and green spaces (annual campaign management, grantwriting, wealth screening)
- K-12 STEM Education (funding conversations with prospective donors, support in community engagement alongside another team member)
- Place-making and urban design (funding a 9-month intersection project, raising funds through donors to support a city-wide safety plan)
- Literary organization (focused on diversified funding, growing small gifts into a stronger pipeline of major donors)
- Public safety (managing a database of capital campaign prospects and working alongside well-known community leaders to set meetings and produce funding letters and applications)

Requirements
- A strong foundation in nonprofit fundraising and development strategy (capital campaign experience is a plus)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and attention to detail
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with a collaborative spirit
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High professionalism, discretion, and integrity
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Experience with donor databases and grant tracking platforms (e.g., Bonterra, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge), * Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a demonstrated track record of results
- Hands-on experience managing grant processes from start to finish
- Exposure to both annual and capital campaigns preferred
