Job description
We are seeking an experienced AS400-RPG Developer to support and extend this environment, working directly with the finance and manufacturing teams at one of our flagship plant locations. This is an onsite, in-plant role - the systems this position supports run the factory floor and finance operations directly, and physical presence at the facility is required. Key Responsibilities Support and enhance the Infor XA (IFM) ERP environment, including IFM security and integration with third-party systems Analyze and create new programs using ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE) Analyze and modify complex SQL queries, including embedded SQL in SQLRPGLE and cursor programming Apply deep working knowledge of the XA-Infor ERP package, particularly International Financial Management (IFM), to support finance operations Support manufacturing-domain business processes, with an emphasis on finance-related workflows Create and analyze physical files, logical files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures Develop and maintain screen programming, including display files, subfiles, and printer files Document business rules and produce data mapping documents based on analysis of program flows and data flows Collaborate with finance, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into AS400/RPG solutions
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience on the AS400/iSeries platform Strong proficiency in RPG, ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE) Working knowledge of the Infor XA (IFM) ERP package, including IFM security and integrations with third-party products Strong SQL skills, including embedded SQL and cursor programming within SQLRPGLE Experience with AS400 database objects: physical files, logical files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures Experience with screen programming: display files, subfiles, and printer files Ability to document business rules and create data mapping documentation from existing program and data flows Willingness to work onsite in Advance, NC or Arcadia, WI Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing domain experience, especially in finance-related functional areas Prior experience supporting a legacy ERP system through incremental modernization efforts Familiarity with furniture, consumer goods, or other high-volume manufacturing environments
