Job description

As an Application Engineer for Comfort & Powertrain, you will be the primary technical bridge between Nidec and our customers. Your goal is to drive business growth through technical ā€œdesign winsā€ while ensuring the rigorous execution of awarded projects. You will be the technical face of the company, leading communications and ensuring our solutions align perfectly with customer requirements., Technical Liaison: Lead technical discussions with customers and act as the primary interface for all technical topics, ensuring high customer satisfaction through proactive responses.

Business Growth: Support Key Account Managers (KAMs) to align goals and promote the deployment of new technologies.

Project Leadership: Coordinate with Back-office teams (PM, R&D, and QA) to meet Quality, Design, and Cost (QDC) targets.

Rigorous Control: Manage comprehensive Requirements Engineering, Change Management, and Problem Resolution processes.

Visualization & Documentation: Manage OPL (Open Point Lists), MoM (Minutes of Meetings), and project visualization tools to keep all stakeholders aligned.

Strategic Escalation: Identify ā€œblocking pointsā€ and take decisive actions with management to guarantee project success and Nidec’s strategic goals.

Requirements

Education: A Technical or Engineering degree is preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in Product Development, Application Engineering, or Technical Project Management.

Experience in Comfort & Powertrain process

Industry Savvy: Experience working within global companies and a deep understanding of market benchmarking and new market development.

Technical Know-how: Proficiency in Requirements Management, Task Management, and Change Management protocols.

Soft Skills: Excellent presentation and organization skills, with a talent for ā€œSoft Negotiationā€ and relationship building., * Automotive enviroment: 3 years (Required)

  • Applications & Engineering in automotive industry: 6 years (Required)

  • English (Required)
