Job description
As an Embedded Software Developer at Movu Robotics, you’ll help shape the software that powers our robotic systems - and you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll join a team of 7 enthusiastic colleagues, working in close collaboration with R&D engineers from electrical and mechanical backgrounds, on the rewrite of our current robotics application software onto a new platform., * Contribute to the rewrite of our robotics application software onto a new platform
- Optimise, expand, and maintain our embedded software landscape
- Code in C/C++ or Rust
- Apply your robotics experience to contribute to a new architectures, with a focus on Model Based Design
- Analyse, test, and debug software to ensure reliability and performance
- Train and support end users, primarily in Belgium with occasional travel abroad
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation to support the team and future development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in industrial engineering or software engineering
- Strong experience in C/C++; ambition to grow into Rust is a plus
- Hands-on experience with ROS2
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink is a nice-to-have
- A genuine R&D mindset, with curiosity to explore and improve
- Result-driven, with a good sense of humour and a strong team spirit
- Stress-resistant, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
- Good command of Dutch and English
