Senior Systems Engineer

CodeBlue Technology is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to provide onsite and remote support to our valued clients. Our clients offer a variety of environments primarily composed of Server products from Microsoft (Windows Server, Exchange Server, Small Business Server, Hyper-V) and VMware (Vsphere, ESXi) running on hardware primarily from HP and Dell.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage and maintain existing client networks
• Provide end-user support both on-site and remote
• Proficient in VMWare ESXi
• VMWare systems design, installation, administration and maintaining server security
• Disaster recovery/replication/fail-over
• Performing project work and server builds, upgrades, and migrations in a fast-paced environment
• Conducting complex troubleshooting of Windows Operating Systems, Exchange, SQL
• Conducting troubleshooting of Networks including VLAN’s, WLAN’s and wireless access points.
• SonicWALL, Sophos, Fortinet, Watchguard experience preferred
• HP/Cisco Switching experience preferred
• Developing documentation required to support a program’s technical issues and training situations
• Responsible for monitoring and supporting LAN/WAN/MAN network communication systems including complex troubleshooting. Collaborates in troubleshooting, configuring, documenting, and installing network communication systems including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Do you have experience in VLAN?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * A minimum of five (5) years’ experience

• Preferred minimum of 3.5 years of MSP experience
• Expert problem-solving and diagnostic skills and ability to resolve problems in a timely and proactive manner
• Preferred Certifications to include, but not limited to:
• Firewall (SonicWALL, Fortinet, Watchguard)
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Server+
• CompTIA Cloud+
• CompTIA CASP+
• Position requires expert Server, AD, Exchange/O365 and Networking Fundamentals
• Huge desire to learn and better self along with the willingness to invest/teach other technicians
• Extreme ownership and a Leader mentality
• Ability to interact with Customer and teams in a positive, results oriented, professional fashion
• Excellent organization, prioritization skills as well as proactive and energetic approach, * Associate (Preferred), * Microsoft Windows Server: 5 years (Required)
• Network engineering: 5 years (Required)
• Firewall/VLAN configuration: 3 years (Required)
