Job description
As an IT Support Specialist at Mercell, you’ll join our Enterprise Support team, reporting to the IT Manager. You’ll work across a modern cloud-first environment (Okta, Atlassian, Microsoft Azure & Intune, Google Workspace), take real ownership of projects, and be trusted to shape how we work, not just keep the lights on.
If you love solving problems, enjoy being the go-to person people are genuinely glad to see, and want room to grow your technical skills, this is a great opportunity.
We see the following qualities as important to thrive and evolve in this role:
- Service-minded, accountable and thorough, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Proactive, you spot improvements before anyone asks and suggest them
- Genuinely curious about technology and eager to keep learning
Core Responsibilities
- Own your ticket queue and resolve day-to-day IT issues that keep colleagues productive
- Take a lead role in IT projects, rolling out upgrades and new technology across the business
- Maintain and improve the IT environment at your local Utrecht office
- Administer and care for our core IT applications: Okta, Atlassian, Microsoft Azure & Intune, and Google Workspace
Requirements
- Hands-on experience (ideally 3+ years) in a similar IT support role
- Experience administering one or more of the following applications (Okta, Atlassian, Azure/Intune, Google Workspace)
- Confidence managing both Mac and Windows hardware
- Professional-level English, written and spoken (Dutch is a plus)
- Comfortable troubleshooting independently and explaining technical things simply to non-technical colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
- A driver’s licence is an advantage, as the role may involve occasional travel
- A patient, empathetic communication style, you make people feel supported
- A strong problem-solving mindset and excellent troubleshooting instincts
- A self-directed approach and an eye for improving how the team works
- Discretion and integrity: this role handles sensitive data, credentials and personal devices, so we’re looking for someone trustworthy
Benefits & conditions
As a fast growing technology company, we are committed to taking care of our employees through initiatives such as hybrid work to support work-life balance, health and insurance plans (may differ per country/office), pension plans, paid parental leave, social happenings and competitive salary packages.
