Job description

This non-exempt position works under limited supervision, executing defined procedures to ensure compliance with RIM policies and the Firm’s standards, describes procedures and standards to internal clients and interprets instructions. Retrieval of files and boxes from the warehouse for transfer. Maintains records in Elite 3E Records Manager software to ensure records accurately reflect information for current location, storage and/or retrieval., * Coordinate File Transfers with the appropriate Law Firm contacts to include but not limited to Attorney’s, Paralegals, Secretaries, Office Administrators, Records Clerks, Files Clerks and the Director of Records.

  • Edit existing and prepare new barcode file labels in the Elite 3E Records Management database;
  • Ensure files have appropriate record category;
  • Ensure compliance of Firm Records Management Policy and Records Department procedure;
  • Retrieve and deliver active and inactive files from the warehouse in a timely manner;
  • Receive and process files for inactive and closed storage in accordance with established procedures maintaining accurate check-out and current file -

location information;

  • Research information on file history, activity, etc.;
  • Respond to specific requests by searching, locating, retrieving and delivering records through established procedures and delivery systems in a timely

manner;

  • Protect records by monitoring sensitive material that requires offsite climate controls and follow established procedures to preserve sensitive material;
  • Conduct inventory audits of physical files.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5 Years’ Experience with legal records.
  • Professional in verbal and electronic communications.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  • Work involves quality control and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet challenges with resourcefulness; develops innovative approaches and ideas.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Work involves varying degrees of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
