Operations Manager (Systems & ERP Implementation)

We are intentionally hiring the right leader before selecting our new ERP system. You will play the pivotal role in evaluating, selecting, and implementing a modern ERP solution that aligns with our growth, while ensuring our day-to-day production, supply chain, and quality standards remain seamless., Systems Strategy & ERP Implementation (Core Focus)

• Lead the end-to-end evaluation, selection, and rollout of a new, company-wide ERP system tailored to our food business needs.
• Map current “as-is” operational workflows and design efficient “to-be” processes within the new system.
• Act as the primary liaison between Mt. Mitchell Foods, ERP vendors, and integration consultants.
• Manage data migration, system testing, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Develop training materials and champion user adoption across all departments.

Operational Leadership & Process Optimization

• Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and supply chain logistics.
• Establish robust SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and KPIs to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and boost profitability.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all operational processes comply with food safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control protocols.
• Leverage the new ERP system to improve lot tracking, traceability, and recall readiness.

Do you have experience in Practicing in a supply chain operations role?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Experience: 5+ years of Operations Management experience, ideally within the food manufacturing, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.

• Systems Expertise: Proven track record of successfully leading or playing a major role in a net-new ERP implementation (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Deacom, or food-specific ERPs).
• Skills: Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, data analytics, and change management.
• Leadership: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to train, motivate, and lead a team through technological change.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
