Job description
- Lead end-to-end network architecture and design for global, multi-site, data center, cloud, and hybrid network solutions
- Define high-level and detailed designs (logical and physical), including topology, routing, IP addressing, segmentation, resilience, capacity, and Quality of Service (QoS)
- Develop and maintain architecture standards, reference designs, design patterns, and best practices
- Perform capacity planning, traffic engineering, and scalability analysis
- Validate designs with modeling and lab testing
- Lead technology selection and vendor evaluations for routing, switching, Wide Area Network (WAN) optimization, Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Ethernet Virtual Private Network/Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (EVPN/VXLAN), WAN acceleration, and security integration
- Create and review solution documentation including design drawings, implementation runbooks, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and acceptance criteria
- Provide technical leadership during implementation and handover to operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated design or deployment issues
- Drive cross-team collaboration with security, cloud, storage, compute, procurement, and operations to ensure cohesive solutions
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level network engineers and designers
- Participate in architecture governance, architecture review boards, and present designs and trade-offs to stakeholders and executives
- Ensure designs meet compliance, security, performance, availability, and cost objectives
- Keep up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Recommend strategic adoption where appropriate
- Present complex designs to multiple audiences, including executives
- Lead cross-functional technical discussions
- Manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
- Architect and document network reference designs and standards
- Deliver complex network projects on time and within scope
- Reduce incidents attributable to design issues
- Measure improvements in performance and availability
- Adopt and automate repeatable deployment practices
Requirements
Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a Bachelorās degree?, * 10+ years of experience in enterprise network design and architecture (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions (e.g. client/server, storage, network, cloud, information security concepts, etc.)
- Experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Experience with BGP (Border Gateway Protocal)
- Experience developing Python and Ansible scripts for automation
- Experience with network devices including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
- Experience with precedence development, generating operating/recovery plans, capacity analysis, and constraint-based analysis
- Experience writing proposals, Request For Information (RFIs) and/or Request For Proposal (RFPs)
- Willing to work flexible hours, including on call support as needed (including weekends and holidays)
- Willing to Travel Domestically and internationally as needed, * Bachelorās degree or higher
- Cisco Certified Network Professional/ Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCNP/CCIE) (Service Provider, Enterprise) or equivalent expert-level certifications
- Cloud certifications: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced/Professional, Azure Architect, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Professional Cloud Network Engineer
- Network automation certifications or proven automation project experience
