Job description

As a Senior iOS Engineer at idealo, you drive the evolution of our award-winning e-commerce apps. We enable millions of users to compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions on their mobile devices. We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help us take our apps to the next level., * At idealo, you are part of a team of highly motivated iOS developers who strive for excellence in product and software development.

  • You work closely with product owners, user experience designers, data analysts, Android engineers and the engineering team responsible for our app-focused GraphQL backend.
  • We work as an agile team where you will be involved in product development from ideation to operating a product at scale.
  • You’ll work with modern technologies and practices on a high-quality Swift codebase, allowing us to innovate quickly and efficiently.
  • A refined user interface is important to you, and you work closely with your UX colleagues to make features even better during implementation.
  • You apply pragmatic solutions, find the right trade-offs, and seek to reduce complexity to help your team deliver effectively and scale engineering impact across the organisation.

Requirements

  • You have a deep understanding of native iOS development and extensive experience working with Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI.
  • Ideally, you have experience working with GraphQL APIs.
  • You are passionate about writing readable, reliable, maintainable, and testable code.
  • You are an open and communicative team player, curious about solving interesting and sometimes complex problems.
  • You are a self-sufficient and well-organized software engineer, and you can expect the same from the team around you., * Looking to grow your skills?
